Twilight is further proof of how good writing and good storytelling often are two totally separate things.

I think Stephenie Meyer is a better writer than JK Rowling. Despite all the grimacing and wincing, she was concise and clear. Rowling often had sentences that went on for so long that I couldn't read the whole thing aloud in one breath.
Rowling is a better storyteller, though.
Oh, and F Stephen King. I like a lot of his stuff, but really, just shut up. I think he's jealous that he hasn't had a hit, like Harry Potter and Twilight, in years.
I dunno, Stephenie Meyer was pretty bad, at least in Twilight. The writing seemed to get better with each book, with a significant jump from Twilight to New Moon.
On the other hand, Stephen King's storytelling abilities went way downhill after he got off coke.
Getting pretty creative with the titles for these blog entries! I enjoy them as much as the entries themselves.
