Is it possible to write fanfic of your own work? Or is that an oxymoron?
If I were to write a story about Griff turning into a werewolf and robbing a bank, could it be fanfic or would it inevitably be canon, since I'm his creator?
If it's possible, is it sad?

I think it's just called writing. Phillip Roth has written about Nathan Zuckerman a million times, and it's always literature. I guess it depends on the quality of the writing. If Griff is going to be grabbing at throbing members or something, that's different.
I guess I'm talking about a story impossible in the universe of the character's origin. It would, by definition, need to be a little gratuitous. But I wouldn't want it to actually be HIM -- he's just getting settled and I have no desire to stir up his life with hairy beasts of any variety.
I'm thinking more of an Elseworld.
